SC: Once Accused Adduced evidence, Presumption u/s 139 NI Act doesn’t come to Rescue of Complainant - 10.10.2023

Supreme Court has held that once accused adduces evidence to the satisfaction of Court that there exists no debt/liability as pleaded by the complainant, the burden shifts to the complainant and the presumption under Section 139 of Negotiable Instruments Act disappears.
