P&H HC: In Order to Preserve Right to Speedy Trial, S.37 of NDPS Act can be Relaxed - 06.10.2023

Punjab and Haryana High Court while granting bail to an accused who has been in custody for over 3 years in NDPS case, has observed that Section 37 of the NDPS Act can be dispensed for the limited purpose of grant of concession of bail to preserved ‘Right to Speedy Trial’ of the accused.
