P&H HC: A Convict has No Inherent Right to Claim Premature Release - 13.09.2023

Punjab and Haryana High Court has held that a convict serving life imprisonment has no inherent right to claim premature release as life imprisonment means the whole life of convict in jail. Therefore, there is no indefeasible right to be unconditionally released on expiry of any particular term.
