Orissa HC: Can’t Issue Writ of Habeas Corpus to Trace Missing Persons - 12.09.2023

Orissa High Court while observing that though writ of habeas corpus is a writ of right, it is not a writ of course and can’t be issued in a routine manner, has held that the same can’t be issued to trace out missing persons as illegal confinement is a pre-condition to issue a writ of habeas corpus.
