Del. HC: Not Behaving With a Woman in a Chivalrous Manner Doesn’t Amount to Outraging Her Modesty - 29.08.2023

Delhi High Court has held that while adjudicating the cases of Section 509 IPC, Courts must consider the background of the complainant and words uttered to see if they would have outraged complainant's modesty as merely behaving in non-chivalrous manner wouldn’t constitute the offence.
