Cal. HC to Sentence Review Board: Reconsider Remission Plea of Man Who Has Spent 23 Yrs in Jail - 31.07.2023

Calcutta High Court has directed West Bengal State Sentence Review Board to reconsider petition for remission of a man who has spent 23 years in jail, upon noting that Board which had previously considered the plea failed to consider the NHRC’s Guidelines on early release of prisoners.
