SC Grants Bail to Juvenile Who Spent More Than 2 Years in Custody as an Adult - 17.07.2023

Supreme Court has granted bail under Section 436-A of CrPC to a juvenile who has spent more than 482 days as an adult in jail and another 242 days in an observation home, since he has already undergone more than half of the maximum sentence of 3 years prescribed under Juvenile Justice Act.
