Cal HC: Petition for Removal of State Election Commissioner is Not Maintainable - 13.07.2023

Calcutta High Court while dismissing petition seeking removal of State Election Commissioner, among other reliefs, has observed that such a prayer can’t be maintained since Election Commissioner is an independent constitutional body vested with powers in terms of Article 243K of Constitution.
