Del HC: Civil Prisoners are Eligible for Grant of Ordinary Remission Under Delhi Prison Rules - 10.07.2023

Delhi High Court has held that civil prisoners are eligible for grant of ordinary remission under the Delhi Prison Rules, 2018 as the expression used is the rule, i.e. ‘convicted prisoner’ is inclusive and does not distinguish between a convicted civil prisoner and a criminal prisoner.
