SC: If Accused had No Intention/Knowledge to Cause Death, Conviction U/S 308 IPC Not Sustainable - 07.07.2023

Supreme Court while modifying conviction imposed on a bus conductor under Section 308 of IPC, has observed that conviction under Section 308 of IPC is not sustainable if the accused had no knowledge or intention that his act is likely to cause the death of the victim.
