PIL in SC: Seeking 2 Yrs. Cooling Off Period for Retired Judges Before Accepting Political Appt. - 31.05.2023

Bombay Lawyer’s Association has filed PIL in Supreme Court seeking cooling off period of two years before any retired judge of Supreme Court or High Court can accept a political appointment with an objective of upholding independence of judiciary, rule of law, and principles of reasonableness.
