Del. HC: Satyajit Ray is First Owner of Copyright in Film ‘Nayak’ - 24.05.2023

Delhi High Court while observing that late director Satyajit Ray is the first owner of copyright in 1966 Bengali film 'Nayak' and the right to novelise the screenplay is with him, has held that upon his demise the copyright vested on his son and Society for Preservation of Satyajit Ray Archives.
