SC: Promotions Must be Made on Principle of Merit-Cum-Seniority and on Passing a Suitability Test - 15.05.2023

Supreme Court while staying promotion of judicial officers as district judges in Gujarat as the notification for the same was made while the matter was sub judice before the Apex Court, has observed that promotions must be made on principle of merit-cum-seniority and on passing a suitability test.
