Calcutta HC: Insurance Can’t be Claimed Under ‘Accident’ When Mosquito Bite Leads to Death - 11.05.2023

Calcutta High Court while observing that insurance cannot be claimed when death is caused by mosquito bite has held that definition of accidental death includes accidental injuries but excludes illness; consensus also tilts towards exclusion of death by disease alone, not accompanied by an accident.
