Orissa HC: HC Can Acquit Convict Even Without Appeal to Prevent Injustice - 08.05.2023

Orissa High Court has held that even if the convict does not prefer an appeal against his conviction, the High Court has power to acquit him on the basis of available evidence so as to see that manifest injustice may not be continued to be perpetrated for merely non filing of appeal by co-convict.
