SC Modified its Previous Order Mandating 1 Km ESZ Around Protected Forests - 27.04.2023

Supreme Court while modifying its previous order dated June 3, 2022 that mandated a 1 km Eco-Sensitive Zone (ESZ) around protected forests, has observed that ESZ cannot be uniform and will be Protected Area specific.
