Delhi HC: Using Celebrity’s Name/Image for Art or Satire Doesn’t Infringe Right of Publicity - 27.04.2023

Delhi High Court has held that use of celebrity names, images for art, satire, parodies and other similar uses would be permissible as facets of right of freedom of speech and expression under Article 19(1)(a) of Constitution and would not fall foul to the tort of infringement of right of publicity.
