SC: Prosecution Must Inform Trial Court About Accused’s Background if it is Proposing Death Sentence - 24.04.2023

Supreme Court has observed that wherever prosecution is of opinion that crime an accused is convicted for is so grave that death sentence is warranted, it should carry out the exercise of placing materials, in terms of Manoj v. State of MP (MANU/SC/0711/2022
), for evaluation before trial court.
