MP HC: Mother has First Claim Over the Compensation for Deceased Bachelor Son - 21.04.2023

Madhya Pradesh High Court has held that since deceased was a bachelor, by virtue of Section 8 of the Hindu Succession Act, except mother, no other Class-I heir is available, hence she would have the first claim over the compensation awarded under Motor Vehicles Act.
