Cal. HC Sets Aside Murder Conviction on Ground that Confession Made to Police Not Admissible - 21.04.2023

Calcutta High Court while setting aside a murder conviction observed that confession of accused, even if in writing, made to a police officer is not admissible in the eye of law and therefore trial court while passing judgement ought to have discarded oral testimony of that police officer.
