Bom. HC: Divorcee or a Single Parent Eligible to Adopt as Per Juvenile Justice Act, 2015 - 13.04.2023

Bombay High Court while setting aside order disallowing a woman from adopting her sister’s child on ground that she was single working woman, held that single parent are eligible to adopt under Juvenile Justice Act and district court’s job was merely to ascertain if necessary criteria are fulfilled.
