SC: Open Ballot System in Rajya Sabha Elections Necessitated to Prevent Cross-Voting - 30.03.2023

Supreme Court while dismissing PIL challenging open ballot system for Rajya Sabha elections has observed that similar issue was examined in Kuldip Nayar v. UOI (MANU/SC/3865/2006
) wherein Court held that open ballot system was necessitated to prevent cross-voting & flouting of party discipline.
