Del. HC: Power to Award Interest Applies Only in Absence of An Arbitration Agreement - 18.03.2023

Delhi High Court has held that Arbitrator’s discretion while awarding interest in respect of the pre-reference period under Section 31 of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 applies only where there is no agreement between the parties with respect to the rate of interest to be awarded.
