SC Bench: Only CJI Can Assign Cases - 14.03.2023

Supreme Court bench comprising Justices BR Gavai & Vikram Nath while expressing disapproval of another bench assigning case to it has stated that if particular bench finds that a matter needs to be placed before another bench, it must direct the matter to be placed before CJI for appropriate order.
