Kar HC: In Rape Cases Over False Promise to Marry, Length of Relationship is an Important Factor - 10.03.2023

Karnataka High Court while quashing rape charges over false promise to marry after 5 yrs of relationship has observed that length of relationship & acts b/w two in such a period takes away rigor of ingredients of S.375 IPC as it can’t be said consent for such long period was taken against her will.
