HP HC: Conviction Can’t Entail Automatic Removal of Convicted Employee - 09.03.2023

Himachal Pradesh High Court has held that as per Article 311 of Constitution and Rule 19(i) of CCS Rules 1965, employee can be dismissed without any enquiry upon his conviction, but it can’t be construed that every such conviction shall be followed by an automatic removal of convicted employee.
