SC Sets Aside Death Sentence of Person Convicted for Rape-Murder Found to be Juvenile - 06.03.2023

Supreme Court has set aside death sentence imposed on a convict for rape and murder of a minor girl after he was found to be juvenile at time of offence. Court observed that appellant is held to be less than 16 years, and therefore, maximum punishment that could be awarded is upto 3 years.
