Bombay HC: Prisoners Who Jump Parole Now to be Charged with Escaping Arrest - 28.04.2016

Bombay HC, while upholding decision of Maharashtra Govt. to file FIR against absconding accused for resisting arrest, has said that such accused will be charged with under section 224 of Indian Penal Code for illegally obstructing arrest, that carries a prison term of up to two years if convicted.
