Cabinet approves signing of Paris Agreement

The Union Cabinet approved India’s participation in the Paris Agreement adopted at the 21st Conference of Parties held in Paris in December 2015.

The Paris Agreement is being termed a milestone in global climate cooperation, seen as a rare moment of multi-national unity in an otherwise divisive issue.
