Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) (Seventh Amendment) Regulations, 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11, subsection (2) of section 11A and section 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992) read with section 31 of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956 (42 of 1956), the Board hereby makes the following regulations to further amend the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, namely:-

4. These regulations may be called the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) (Seventh Amendment) Regulations, 2022.

5. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

6. In the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 -

I. in regulation 102, after sub-regulation (1), the following new sub-regulation shall be inserted, namely, -

"(1A) The Board may after due consideration of the interest of the investors and the securities market and for the development of the securities market, relax the strict enforcement of any of the requirements of these regulations, if an application is made by the Central Government in relation to its strategic disinvestment in a listed entity."
