Supreme Court Uphelds Quashing of Calcutta University Vice Chancellor's Reappointment - 11.10.2022

Supreme Court while dismissing plea filed by State of West Bengal against High Court order of setting aside re-appointment of Sonali Banerjee as Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Calcutta University, has held that State usurped the powers of Chancellor (Governor) while re-appointing her as VC.
