Cal. HC: Persons With Disabilities Act Shifts Focus from Their Protection to Empowerment - 09.08.2022

Calcutta High Court while quashing resolution passed by a College refusing to consider person with impairment for appointment in physically handicapped category has held that it is in violation of the Right of Persons with Disabilities Act which was enacted to empower rather than protect them.
