Allahabad HC: Compensation Under SC/ST Act Should be Paid on Conviction & Not on Filing of FIR - 04.08.2022

Allahabad High Court has held that compensation to the Victims under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 should be disbursed only upon the conviction of the accused and not after the filing of the FIR and submission of the charge sheet.
