Kar. HC: Inordinate Delay in Lodging Extortion Complaint Gives Rise to Doubts as to its truth - 03.08.2022

Karnataka High Court has held that unexplained delay in registering extortion complaint under Indian Penal Code, gives rise to embellishment to a particular complaint and if proceedings are permitted to continue it would degenerate into harassment resulting in abuse of the process of law.
