Cal. HC: Intention of Parties to be Deciphered to Decide if Parties Must be Referred to Arbitration - 02.08.2022

Calcutta High Court has held that where arbitration clause between parties provided that "every effort" should be made by them to settle dispute by arbitration, the term "every effort" expands scope and ambit of arbitration clause, and clearly conveyed intention to refer the disputes to arbitration.
