Karnataka HC Orders Rs. 5 Lakhs Compensation to Man Wrongly Arrested - 01.08.2022

Karnataka High Court while directing State to pay compensation of Rs.5 lakhs to applicant for wrongful arrest based on alleged confusion in identity has held that arresting officer must ascertain that the person proposed to be arrested is the same person as against whom the warrant has been issued.
