Del. HC: Act of Rape is Not Mitigated Merely Because Sexual Abuse Resulted in Marriage - 25.07.2022

Delhi High Court has held that merely because an act of sexual abuse results in marriage between the victim and the accused or in birth of a child, it does not mitigate the act of rape. Court also added that the consent of a minor is immaterial and inconsequential in law.
