Rs. 1 lakh imposed as costs for duplicitous proceedings

The Supreme Court burdened a Petitioner with costs of Rs. 1,00,000 for abusing the process of the court. The Petitioner had filed a petition before the High Court under Article 226 of the Constitution in a dispute under the SARFAESI Act and had received interim relief. She then filed a petition under Article 32 with the same prayers before the Apex court for enforcement of the relief, while the case was pending before the High Court.
