CESTAT: Foreign Origin Gold Bar With Unexplained Source Liable for Absolute Confiscation - 10.05.2022

Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal, Chennai while remanding the matter back, has held that the gold bar with a foreign marking, the source of which is not explained, is liable for absolute exclusion since the same would amount to the importation of a prohibited good.
