SC: Arbitral Tribunal Can Grant Post Award Interest Included in Sum of Award - 26.04.2022

Supreme Court has ruled that the Arbitral Tribunal can grant post-award interest on the sum of the award including the interest component. The Court reiterated that the word sum under Section 31(7) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 includes the interest awarded on the substantive claims.
