CBDT sets up dedicated structure for delivering and monitoring taxpayer services

The Central Board of Direct Taxes issued an order for setting-up of a dedicated structure for delivery and monitoring of taxpayer services in the Income Tax Department. Called the Directorate of Tax Payer Services – I and – II, the Directorates will be responsible for taxpayer services in field offices and e-services through various electronic platforms. They will also co-ordinate matters relating to grievances and effect timely redressal of the same.
