SC Issues Notice in Plea Challenging Constitutional Validity of S. 18 of Transgender Act - 21.01.2022

Supreme Court has issued notice to the Union Government in a writ petition filed challenging the Constitutional validity of Section 18 of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019 and seeking directions to provide stringent and severe punishment for offences against transgender persons.
