SC: Denying Insurance Coverage for Reason That Deceased Engaged as Helper Not Justified - 17.01.2022

Supreme Court has held that denying the insurance coverage under the Employees Compensation Act 1923 for the reason that deceased was engaged as a helper and not a cleaner is wholly unjustified, considering the absence of any clear demarcation of duties and the fact that the terms Helper and Cleaner are interchangeably used.
