SC: No Statutory Appeal Against Order u/s 14B of Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act - 06.01.2022

Supreme Court has held that no statutory appeal lies against an order passed under Section 14B(1) of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959, refusing to disqualify the Sarpanch or Member of Panchayat. The Apex Court clarified that Section 14B(2) of the Act does not provide for an appeal mechanism for the orders passed under Section 14B(1).
