Madras HC Quashes FIR Against Director Pa. Ranjith Over Comments on Chola Empire - 30.11.2021

Madras High Court has quashed criminal proceedings initiated against Film Director Pa. Ranjith for his remarks on the Chola era during a public gathering in 2019. The Court was of the view that the criticism meted upon the Chola Kingdom by the Director was based on Historical Books.
