Madras HC Rules, Individual Secretary Can’t be Punished for Non-Compliance of Orders - 03.03.2016

Madras High Court has held that an individual secretary to Government cannot be punished under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for non-compliance of orders involving a policy decision of the State government.
