Bombay HC: House Inmates’ Silence on Cause of Woman’s Death Held Against Them - 20.09.2021

Bombay High Court observed that house inmates' silence on the cause of a woman's death inside her marital home would be held against them as such incidents happen in complete secrecy. The Court has held a deceased pregnant woman's husband and in-laws guilty of dowry death under section 304B of the Indian Penal Code,1860 for strangulating her within two years of her marriage and eight days after they threatened to kill her in 2012.
