Karnataka HC Quashes BBMP Bylaws Levying Fees on Developers as Ultra Vires - 11.08.2021

Karnataka High Court has declared the bye-laws under which the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) demands Ground Rent, Licence Fee, Building Licence Fee, Scrutiny Fee, Security Deposit, from developers to be ultra vires to the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976 and held them to be unenforceable.
