SC: Letter of Intent Can be Binding Contract if Its Term So Dictates - 27.07.2021

Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal filed by South Eastern Coalfields Ltd, observing that a Letter of Intent is not a binding contract unless such an intention is evident from its terms. The Court has observed that such intention must be clear and unambiguous as Letter of Intent normally indicates a party's intention to enter into a contract with the other party in future.
