Kerala HC: Government Can Commute Sentence of Imprisonment Below Minimum Prescribed Sentence - 16.07.2021

Kerala High Court has held that the Government was entitled to exercise its sovereign powers under Section 433 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 to commute a sentence in cases where the Court was empowered to impose imprisonment lower than the prescribed minimum sentence.
